Four Corners of the Earth

Peggy created this as part of a series for an exhibit of progressive Jewish artists at the Forbes Library in Northampton

This piece expresses the idea that all people should have the right to live wherever they wish, whatever their skin color. The text is from a commentary on Genesis found in Yalkut Shemoni. This is a giclée print made from a collaged original, lettered with goauche. It was inspired by the Tilsenbilt Company, who built the house in which Peggy grew up. During a time of redlining, these homes were offered for sale with no discrimination on the basis of race.

One print was donated by the Colrain, MA sixth grade to the White House in honor of President Obama's election.
